Using Noticeboard
1. Setting up a team
  • When you Sign Up for the first time on Noticeboard, we will ask you to 'Create A Team'. Click on this button to get going.
  • Select a team name and upload your company logo. You can always change this later, however this privilege is available only to the Admins of the team.
  • You will be taken to the 'Team Settings' page. You can always access this page later from the overflow menu. Use this page to edit team name, team settings and add/delete team members.
  • Your 'Board creation rights' are set to 'Members' as default. This means any team member can create new subject boards to facilitate communication. You can choose to restrict this to Admins only by clicking on 'Board creation rights' and selecting 'Admin'.
2. Setting Up A Content Plan
  • We strongly advise to have a content plan in place before inviting your staff. Having a robust content plan spanning 3 to 4 weeks is key to driving adoption for your staff.
  • You should plan to have some pre-loaded content before you invite your staff. For example, a welcome message from your leadership team explaining how you plan to use Noticeboard.
  • You should also have a weekly plan on the content you would want to push out in the coming days. This could range from training material and quizzes to employee engagement activities to general policy updates.

3. Invite Your Staff
  • You can invite your staff using their mobile number or their email address.
  • In your 'Team Settings' screen, click on '+Invite' to start inviting members. You will need to give the app permission to access your contacts to be able to invite members.
  • Simply click on the '+Invite' button against your contacts to trigger an invite. We will send an sms or email to your contact inviting them to join your team on Noticeboard.
  • In case you have a large team, you can choose to invite members via bulk upload from the web app.

  • Click on the '+' button at the right of team directory, enter comma separated phone numbers or email addresses in the empty text area and hit the invite button.
  • As an Admin, you always have full control over who can be a part of your team.
  • You can remove members by going to the 'Team Directory' in the 'Team Settings' page. Simply click on the user you wish to remove and select 'Remove from team'. Confirm your action and it's done.
4. Publishing Content
  • You can create boards in the app by selecting 'New Board' in your team overflow. You can also created a board by clicking on 'Create Board' button on the screen for 'All boards'.
  • You can create a new board on the web by hitting the green + button next to 'Boards' available in the left hand panel.
  • In case you don't see these options, it is possible you don't have the permission to create a new Board. Please contact your team admin if you feel this is a mistake, or write to us at support@noticeboard.tech.
  • If you're on the app, navigate to the board you wish to post a Notice on and click on the big green button that says 'Post Notice'.
  • If you're using the web app, the middle pane will have the option for you to start creating your notice for the board that you might be browsing.
  • You will see these option only if you have the permission to create Notices. Please contact your team admin if you feel this is a mistake, or write to us at support@noticeboard.tech.
  • Notice allows you to create rich media content. You can give your Notice a title, write a description, add images and videos inlines.
  • You can use pre-built templates like Quizzes, Polls, Event Invites and Meeting Minutes depending on what you wish to communicate.
  • You can use your camera to click, crop and post images in your Notice. You can use images from your gallery as well.
  • You can set up custom settings for your Notice in case you don't want people to comment on your notice or repost it. By default, these functions will be allowed.
  • You can also choose to post the same Notice to multiple boards by clicking on the '+' at the top of your screen. Not very different to how you would add people to an email.
  • Long press on the profile of a user and initiate 1:1 chat with him or her. This can be done from the team directory or from the user profile in a post.
  • Go to the chat section of your app. Tap on a user to start 1:1 chat or click on create Group for group chat
  • On the Web App, navigate to Task Management. To create a new Task, click on ‘New Task’.
  • You can add a Title, Description and multiple in-built Widgets to include options for Data and Proof Collection. Available Widgets are Text Input, Numeric Input and Multiple Choice Input.
  • Post creation of the Task, you can assign it to your staff through the next screens. Select the boards which have the relevant employees as members, and then select the employees to assign the Task to.
  • Navigate to Manage Tasks inside the Task Management module. All your Tasks will be listed here.
  • You can View any of your Tasks, Download Data collected through Widgets, Reassign the Task and also Nudge employees who haven’t submitted a response yet.
  • A lot of customers user the 'Bulk Upload' function available on the web platform to send broadcasts and unicasts to multiple boards / members.
  • Performance updates, day end reports, salary slips, weekly incentives are some of the messages that typically get sent by the bulk upload option.
  • The left hand pane of the web app allows you to navigate to 'Export / Import' where you can download the list of boards and members in your team. You can also use this page to upload content directly to multiple boards or multiple users by using our CSV templates. You could 'Request for a Demo' and we'd be happy to take you through the details.
  • You will not see these options if you don't have the permissions to perform these functions. Please contact your team admin if you feel this is a mistake, or write to us at support@noticeboard.tech.
Team Administration
1. Team roles
  • Teams have three levels of membership: Admin, Member and Guest.
  • Admins are responsible for team management, while Members are users of the platform.
  • Guest are people who are invited only to specific boards in a team and do not have the privileges to browse through other boards of the team.
  • Anyone who creates a new team is by default the Admin of the team.
  • Default setting for new people in the team is Member. Admins can appoint other members as Admins.
  • Invites sent from a board add people in as a Guest with access only to the board they were invited to.
  • Admins can set and edit the Team name and Team logo.
  • Admins can add other members, delete members, change roles of members.
  • Admins can deactivate teams.
  • Admin can download and upload data in bulk using the web platform.
  • You will need to visit the Team directory to manage roles. This is available in the settings page of a Team.
  • In the directory, roles of people are displayed alongside their names, except in the case of Members, which is the default role.
  • You can click on the name of any member which would open a prompt where you can choose to change the role of the concerned member.
2. Board roles
  • A board has 3 roles, Moderator, Publisher or Member.
  • Moderators are responsible for moderation of content and membership of a board. Publishers can post Notices on the board. Members can view and interact with Notices posted on boards.
  • Default setting for new people added to a board is Publisher.
  • Default setting for new people can be changed from the settings of the board. You can choose to keep the default as Moderator, Publisher or Member depending upon the use case of the board.
  • Moderators can set and edit the board name, icon and description.
  • Moderators can add other members, delete members, change roles of members.
  • Moderators can deactivate their boards.
  • Moderators can download and upload data in bulk to their board using the web platform.
  • A Publisher can post notices to a board. These notices can have rich media, images, videos, polls, quizzes etc.
  • A Publisher can view analytics on their posts.
  • A Publisher can download and upload data in bulk to the boards they have publishing rights to using the web platform.
  • A Member can view all the content posted on boards they are a part of.
  • A Member can interact with the notice by commenting / liking or pinning the notice.
  • A Member can take a quiz or a poll that might be a part of the Notice.
  • A Member can repost a Notice to another board where he they might have a right to publish.
  • You will need to visit the Member directory of the board to manage roles. This is available in the settings page of a board.
  • In the directory, roles of people are displayed alongside their names, except in the case of Members.
  • You can click on the name of any member which would open a prompt where you can choose to change the role of the concerned member.
3. Import / Export of Data
  • Admins can import / export any data in a team, except data in private boards.
  • Moderators can import / export any data for boards they are moderators of.
  • Publishers can import / export any data that they might have published or that they wish to publish in boards they have publishing rights to.
  • You can download all data related to your Notices, from read rates, to poll results, to quiz answers.
  • You can upload Notices to boards or to users by uploading CSV files in the format provided in the web platform.
